Adele Amico

Vice President

Denise Nystrom

I begin my career in the Corporate Travel industry in the 70's until relocating from Boston to SWFL in 2003. During my years in the industry, I managed one the largest American Expresses branches in the Boston area, systems trainor and corporate meeting planner, both internationally and domestic, which allowed me to travel extensively

After relocationg to Estero in 2003, I spent 11 years with ADT Security International as a corporate meeting planner and custom sales representative. Prior to retiring in 2018, I spent 4 years as a lifestyle director for "lifestyle gated communities" in Collier County with executing and planning an average of 140 events per year.

I am activiely involved with my church of 14 years, River of Life in Estero, a member of the LCREC for 17 years, chaired and co-chaired policial campaigns (presidential), founded a "grief share" program at Estero Baptist church, past board member of an HOA, and involved in numerous out reach programs.

Growing up in Boston was probably the best environment to be rasied in: unsurpassed history, arts, corporate working environments, excellent cuisine,  etc... On a personal note, I was a ballerina for 13 years, down hill slalom skiier, intense runner, water skiier (lost my bathing suit top many a time), but most importantly is my faith and my relationship with Jesus Christ. On a sadder note, but worth sharing was the strength Our Lord and Savior bestowed upon me when my daughter passed away at the young age of 33, same age as JC.

Looking forward to meeting each of you, and joining the fastest growing conservative club in Lee County.

Denise Nystrom has forever been a Republican conservative. Being a Republican who obtained a master’s degree in Education and a post-graduate degree in Leadership while living and working on Long Island, New York wasn’t always easy. But that never changed her values. That is because her values came through her love of God and this country.

Denise was a special education teacher who advanced in the public school system and became an Assistant Superintendent of Schools. In this capacity, she worked directly for the Board of Education of Schools. As an eleven-year administrator she oversaw a school district with 1200 employees ranging from cafeteria workers, security staff, aides, teacher assistants, and teachers to directors, assistant principals and principals.  She was a chief negotiator for twelve collective bargaining units and was able to negotiate 0% increases having worked during the economic crisis during the Obama years. Also responsible for health benefits, unemployment, and worker’s compensation, she was responsible for a 120M budget.

Upon retirement, her husband and she relocated to SW Florida, a place she calls paradise and is thankful to wake up in every day. After living educational politics, she took a short break. But after witnessing the left’s movement toward socialism and the unmerciful way the Trump administration was put through, getting involved was an easy and necessary decision. Her focus is on holding elected officials accountable at the local, state, and national level. Ultimately, she is patriot who is devoted to upholding the Constitution of the United States.

I was born in Germany and came to this country legally at age 16. I graduated High School here, then obtained a BA, MA, and PhD from the City University of New York. I paid my way by working in a clinical laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Following graduation, I worked with my husband for 40 years doing physiological and pharmacological research, first at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, then SUNY Downstate Medical College in New York.
We have a daughter, who is Director of Clinical Research at Merck Pharmaceuticals, and two grandchildren, one in first year College, the other in second year High School.
I am retired now and am trying to return some of the many blessings
I have received from this country from it, especially, being able to follow my dream.
